Choosing a robot mop for hard floors
Start with your flooring manufacturer's cleaning instructions. The right wet-cleaning routine depends on the floor and finish, not simply on whether a robot offers a mopping mode.
Check the floor before the robot
Identify the flooring and its finish in each room. Read the maker's care instructions for water, cleaning solutions and any restrictions on machine cleaning. Do not assume that every wood, laminate or stone surface has the same requirements.
If the floor type or finish is unknown, resolve that before using a wet-cleaning mode. A robot's marketing description does not override the flooring maker's instructions. Use only products and solutions permitted by both sets of instructions.
Separate everyday upkeep from spot cleaning
Think about the mess you want to manage: loose dust between deeper cleans, footprints near an entrance, or dried spills around a dining table. These are not interchangeable tasks. Prepare the floor and deal with spills according to its care instructions.
Both the C20 and X10 Pro Omni use rotating mop pads according to eufy. That describes their mechanism, not how well either removes a particular stain. We have not measured stain removal, residue or cleaning consistency for these machines.
Make a plan for rugs
A listed mop-lift height is not a universal promise that pads will avoid your rug. Pile height, edges, tassels and the approach to a rug vary. Check the exact model's carpet behavior and supported no-mop or exclusion settings.
Supervise the first route and verify the result on your own layout. Where wet contact is unsuitable, use an appropriate boundary or separate cleaning routine instead of assuming automatic detection will handle every transition.
Compare the dock chores, not just the dock name
The C20 product page describes room-temperature air drying; the X10 page describes heated drying. Those are different designs. Without a controlled test, we do not translate them into a drying-time advantage for your room or a hygiene guarantee.
Before choosing, plan where you will carry and empty the water tanks, and whether there is room to remove them easily. Inspect the tray-cleaning and pad-replacement instructions. A useful buying question is: will this dock make your actual evening routine easier?
