Room fit · Practical buying guide
Will a robot vacuum fit under your furniture?
Measure the whole route, including the lowest obstruction and the space needed to service the dock. A robot that fits at the edge of a sofa may still become stuck farther underneath.
Measure the lowest point, not just the entrance
Use a rigid ruler or tape measure to check the entrance, crossbars, centre supports and any fabric hanging under the furniture. Note the smallest gap along the route. Also check the width between legs, nearby cables and transitions into the room.
Furniture can move or sag, and rugs change the height of the surface a robot drives on. A close numerical match leaves little margin. Follow the robot manufacturer's clearance guidance rather than treating its body height as the required opening.
Put model dimensions in context
eufy lists the Omni C20 body at 3.35 inches high. Its X10 Pro Omni information lists a 113.5 mm body height, about 4.47 inches, and recommends 13 cm of under-furniture clearance for that model.
For example, a measured 4-inch opening is below the X10's listed body height. It is above the C20's listed body height, but that alone does not establish a usable route: obstructions, floor changes and the model's installation instructions still need checking. This is a dimensional comparison, not a tested fit claim.
Use this room-fit checklist
Copy these measurements into your notes before comparing models. Measure dock service access as well as the footprint; you need to be able to remove tanks or reach bags without moving the entire setup every time.
- Lowest furniture clearance: ______
- Narrowest route between legs: ______
- Doorway or threshold height and shape: ______
- Rug location, pile and loose edges: ______
- Dock location and usable outlet: ______
- Space above and around the dock, checked against its manual: ______
- Route for carrying and emptying water tanks: ______
Verify the difficult route first
Check the tightest section during an attended setup run and inspect for contact with furniture, trapped cables or repeated navigation problems. Use supported exclusions for unsuitable areas. Do not modify the robot or remove safety components to make it fit.
If the robot cannot safely reach one important spot, decide whether cleaning that area manually is an acceptable trade-off. A smaller accessible cleaning area may matter more to your decision than a longer list of automatic dock functions.
